Our competitive program at Elite Gymnastics provides a highly structured curriculum created by Dr. Stacey Rudd and used by other gyms in the Tyler area. Coach Stacey is a life-long educator and specialist in artistic gymnastics. He spent time in the former Soviet Union by invitation to study the Soviet sports system which dominated the gymnastics world for four decades.
Coach Stacey closely oversees the training for all Team Elite levels and personally coaches the top level Team Elite girls. Our top girls are able to spend time one on one with the coach working on the physical mechanics of gymnastics. Coach Stacey also spends lecture time with Team Elite teaching the cognitive aspect of gymnastics that allows them to be Elite and accomplished competitors. He teaches the girls a strength which builds a foundation of confidence that stays with the girls forever.
The Elite Gymnastics Team competes in both USAG and TAAF meets. The athletes compete in USAG to qualify and graduate to the next level. Elite Gymnastics is proud that our athletes have a 100% success rate in USAG qualifiers -- no gymnast from Elite has ever failed to qualify at a USAG competion.
Elite Gymnastics also successfully competes in four TAAF meets per year in the Dallas area. In addition to providing a fun environment for athletes, TAAF meets are excellent preparation for the next USAG qualifier.
